Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I already need to replace the ink cartridge on my Epson Stylus Photo RX580?
When your Epson Stylus Photo RX580 is printing with a low or depleted ink cartridge, an alert message will appear on your printer’s LCD screen or your computer telling you which cartridge needs replacement.
Can I change the old ink cartridge on my Epson printer even if it’s not yet totally expended?
Yes, especially if the ink cartridge is already more than a half year old. Print quality during this time will no longer be at its best even after cleaning or aligning the printhead.
Can I continue printing or copying with one ink expended?
No. The RX580 does not allow printing with an expended ink cartridge, even if the remaining ink cartridges still contain ink. So, to resume printing, replace the expended cartridge immediately.
