How to Replace Cartridge(s)

1. Make sure your printer is turned on. Then, pull up the cartridge access door on the front of your machine. Wait for the cartridge carriage to idle in the middle.
2. Push down the top of the latch of the cartridge you’re replacing, then pull the lower section to release the cartridge. Pull the old cartridge out of its slot by holding on to its sides.
3. Take your new cartridge out of its packaging. Carefully remove the plastic tape on the ink nozzle, making sure not to touch the gold-colored contacts.
4. With the printed side up, slide the cartridge into the empty slot.
5. Push down on the latch while holding the lower section up. Release the lower section once the latch is all the way down so that it snaps into place and secures the cartridge.
6. Close the cartridge access door.
7. You should see a message in the front panel display saying the ink cartridges need to be aligned. Load the printer with two pages, then press ENTER to start the alignment process. Follow the instructions on the second page that will be printed to finish the cartridge alignment.
