How to Replace Cartridge(s)

  1. Open your printer’s front cover. If you just used your printer, be careful not to touch any of its internal parts is it would be extremely hot.
  2. Gently pull the drum unit towards you, then lift it at an angle. This will remove it from the printer.
  3. To take the old cartridge out, push the green lock lever down. Dispose of it properly.
  4. Remove the new toner out of its packaging. Hold it on both sides and gently rock it from side to side several times. This will help spread the ink inside. Afterwards, pull off the protective cover.
  5. Place the new cartridge into the drum unit. If installed properly, you should hear it lock into place.
  6. Put the drum unit with the new cartridge back into the printer. Close the front cover.
