How To Replace Cartridge

  1. Open the front panel of your printer by pulling it gently on each side.
  2. Pull up the tab on the old toner cartridge to easily remove it from the printer.
  3. Get your replacement toner cartridge and remove its jacket and sealing tape.
  4. Slide the new toner cartridge into the empty slot until it snaps into place. Make sure the alignment tab on the cartridge is positioned on the alignment slot so you can push it forward easily.
  5. Repeat steps 2 to 4 if you need to replace other color toner cartridges.
  6. Close the front panel firmly until it snaps into position.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why did I get less than 2000 pages for black and white printing?

You can expect a toner cartridge life of about 2000 pages for black and printing only when you print text at 5% coverage. So if most of the printed pages had a 100% fill, that would be 400% coverage.

What does 5% coverage mean?

The 5% coverage is used for the purpose of cartridge yield measurement. So a 5% coverage means only 5% of the whole page is covered with toner. This implies basic type with no graphics, no images, and no bold characters.

Why did I get only blank pages even if I just changed the toner cartridge on my Samsung CLP-300?

The toner cartridge is either defective or the toner inside is not distributed properly. Try removing the cartridge and redistribute the toner inside by giving it a few shakes. If you still got blank pages after doing this, let us know.
