How to Replace Cartridge(s)

  1. Turn on your Lexmark printer. Open the printer cover. The ink carriage will move to the middle.
  2. Press the small blue lever to open the cartridge lid.
  3. Remove the empty cartridge.
  4. Take the new cartridge out of its wrapper and remove the plastic tape. Do not touch the copper contacts or ink nozzles.
  5. Insert the new ink cartridge in the correct color slot and press down to snap it into place.
  6. Close the cartridge lid.
  7. Close the printer cover.

The estimated page yield of each remanufactured ink cartridge is at 5% coverage. So, if you’re printing at more than 5% coverage (with images, bold texts, charts, etc.) every time, then it’s really possible that you get less than the cartridge’s estimated page yield.
