How to Replace Cartridge(s)

  1. Before opening the printer, make sure that you remove any print jobs form the output bins. After that, you can open the upper front door.
  2. Hold the printer cartridge by the handle and then lift it up and out. Set the old cartridge aside.
  3. You can clean the shaded areas of the printer gently using a lint-free cloth by wiping the front of the printer. Be careful not to touch the transfer roller.
  4. Unwrap the new cartridge and remove the red plastic piece and foam. Remember not to touch the photoconductor drum on the underside of the print cartridge.
  5. Take the new cartridge by both ends and rock it from side to side to evenly distribute the ink inside.
  6. Hold the new cartridge and insert it into the printer after making sure that it is aligned with the cartridge cradle. When it snaps into place, you will know that you have installed it correctly.
