How to Replace Cartridge(s)
- Turn your printer on and lift the print carriage door. Open it until it locks into place. The print carriage will move to the far right and become idle.
- When the print carriage has become silent and idle, carefully press the cartridge you want to replace downward. This will release the old cartridge, and you can pull it toward you to remove it from its slot.
- Take your new print cartridge from its packaging and carefully remove the plastic tape protecting the contacts and ink nozzles using the tab. Caution: Do not touch the contacts or the nozzles as this may damage your cartridge.
- Slide the new print cartridge into its appropriate slot until it clicks into place. Note: Black/photo ink cartridges go on the right, while tri-color ink cartridges go on the left.
- Close the print carriage access door.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use my printer for photos?
Definitely! Using our HP 99 (C9369WN) Photo Remanufactured Ink Cartridge, your HP PSC 1610xi can print high-quality photos.
What’s the difference between the Tri-color ink and Photo ink?
Tri-color ink is the default colored ink cartridge for your printer. When printing documents, your printer will use both black and tri-color ink. This gives your printer access to a six-ink system, providing enhanced quality photos!
