How to Replace Cartridge(s)

  1. Turn on your HP PhotoSmart 5520 printer and open the cartridge access door.
  2. Press the tab on the front of the cartridge you want to replace and pull it out of its slot.
  3. Take the new cartridge out of its wrapper and remove the plastic tape. Twist off the orange cap. Do not touch the contacts or ink nozzles.
  4. Slide the new cartridge into the correct slot. Close the cartridge access door.
