How to Replace Cartridge(s)

Here are simple steps to replacing the used ink cartridge on your HP Deskjet D1520:

 

  1. Turn the printer on.
  2. Lift the printer lid. The carriage will move to the middle of the printer. Wait until the carriage stops before you press the cartridge down to release it.
  3. Remove the used ink cartridge.
  4. Unpack the new ink cartridge. Carefully remove the protective tape using the pink pull tab.
  5. Insert the new ink cartridge in the correct slot. Push it until it clicks into place.
  6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 if you wish to replace another ink cartridge.
  7. Close the printer lid.
