Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I rock the new toner cartridge prior to installation?

The toner inside the cartridge might have become unevenly distributed while in storage or in transit. Feel free to give it a few shakes before installing to distribute the toner inside the cartridge evenly.

How would I know if I put the new cartridge in the wrong slot?

The control panel of your HP Color LaserJet 2600n will display one of the following messages: ‘Incorrect black’, ‘Incorrect yellow’, ‘Incorrect magenta’, or ‘Incorrect cyan’. Follow the instructions above to avoid this error.

Why is it better to recycle used toner cartridges?

Toner is a hazardous waste and must be disposed of properly, separate from ordinary household waste. Using remanufactured toner cartridges will also help reduce cartridge waste in landfills.
