How to Replace Cartridge(s)
- Turn your printer on, close the document cover, and open the scanner.
- Press and release the ink button. The power button’s lights should be flashing at this point. The old cartridge that needs replacing will move to the expended ink mark.
- Press the ink button again. The next cartridge that needs replacing will move to the expended ink mark.
- Open the cartridge cover, then squeeze the tab at the back of the old cartridge. Then, lift it straight out.
- Shake your new cartridge a few times before removing it from its packaging. Then, remove the yellow tape.
- Place your new ink cartridge into its corresponding holder and push it down. It should lock in place. Do the same for all the cartridges that need replacing.
- Close the ink cartridge cover and close the scanner.
- Press the ink button to make your printer start charging the ink. The power button will start flashing at this point. After about a minute, the On light will stop flashing and stay on, while the ink light goes out.

Your decision would depend largely on the volume of your printing. If you print occasionally, the standard-sized inks will be suitable for your needs. But if you tend to print a lot and frequently, you’ll do well with high-yield inks.
