PC Magazine gives this printer 2.5 out of 5 stars. They like its print quality and its ability to print directly from memory cards and cameras, but its slow speed hinders business applications, and print jobs often come out with extreme paper curl. Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do now that my Canon printer still refuses to print in black even after replacing the black cartridge?

If your printer still refuses to print in black, it could be that the ink on the new cartridge is not flowing properly. Have you checked if the sealing tape is removed from the new ink tank? If you’re not sure, try removing the black cartridge first. Then, if there’s still an orange tape across the top of the cartridge, remove it completely before inserting the cartridge back inside the printer.

When should I replace the ink tank on my Canon PIXMA iP6000D?

It’s time to replace the ink tank on your Canon PIXMA iP6000D when the POWER lamp changes from green to orange and it flashes up to four times when printing.

How do I determine which ink tank needs replacing on my iP6000D?

Simply access the BJ Status Monitor on your Windows PC or check the error messages on your Macintosh.
