How to Replace Cartridge(s)

Here are the 10 steps to replacing the toner cartridge on the Canon ImageClass MF8080Cw:

 

  1. Open the front cover of the printer.
  2. Hold down the lever, and then pull the toner cartridge tray out.
  3. Hold the toner cartridge by its handle.
  4. Pull the used toner cartridge towards you and out of the printer.
  5. Unpack the new toner cartridge, and gently rock the toner cartridge five or six times to evenly distribute the toner inside the cartridge.
  6. Put the cartridge on a flat surface, and pull the tab to completely remove the sealing tape.
  7. Take the protective cover out of the drum unit.
  8. Insert the toner cartridge into the printer.
  9. Reinstall the toner cartridge tray back in.
  10. Close the front cover of the printer.
