How to Replace Cartridge(s)

Replace the empty ink tanks in your Canon i9900 with these seven easy steps:

  1. Lift the printer cover. Wait until the printer holder moves to the center and becomes idle.
  2. Release the empty ink tank. Then, remove it from its slot by pressing down on the tab.
  3. Pull the orange tape in the new ink tank. To see the air hole, remove the plastic wrapper.
  4. Turn the ink tank over so that the protective cap is facing up.  Remove the ink tank by holding it down.
  5. Slide the ink tank into the empty slot.
  6. Press down gently on the ink tank until you hear an audible click.
  7. Close the printer cover.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the new ink cartridge to blame for my Canon i9900 color issues?

It could probably be due to the print head getting clogged or not working properly. Try running a print head clean first. If this doesn’t work, call us for assistance.

How can I get the last drop out of my printer ink?

If you badly need to print a document but your printer says it has run out of ink, try removing the cartridge that has run out of ink, give it a few shakes, and put it back in. The best thing to do is to order a new cartridge from Carrot Ink.

What to do with my empty ink cartridges?

Don’t ever throw them into any garbage can! It’s best to give it to your local recycling center to help reduce toxic waste in landfills.
