Frequently Asked Questions

What will happen if I accidentally insert the new ink cartridge in the wrong color slot?

Your printer will sense the error and it simply won’t operate.

How come there are missing ink colors from my printed documents even after I installed new color cartridges?

The issue could be due to incorrectly installed cartridges. Check if you installed them correctly, or you might as well redo the steps. Another culprit could be an unclean print head. Clean the print head if that is the case. Just make sure not to touch it to avoid permanent damage to your printer.

Should I replace the ink cartridge the moment my Brother MFC-J880DW displayed the ‘Ink Low’ message?

Not necessarily. You can continue printing until the printer’s display shows the ‘Cannot Print. Replace Ink Cartridge’ message.
