How to Replace Cartridge(s)

1. Open your printer’s ink cartridge cover.
2. To remove an old cartridge, press down on the lock release lever, then pull it out.
3. Unpack your new ink cartridge. Then, turn the green release lever on the orange protective packing counterclockwise until it clicks. This will release the vacuum seal. Afterwards, remove the orange protective packing.
4. To install the new cartridge properly, make sure that you follow the direction of the arrow on the label.
5. Gently push the back of the cartridge where it’s marked “Push’, until it latches.
6. Close your printer’s ink cartridge cover.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between high yield and super high yield?

These labels refer to the number of pages you can get from each cartridge. Super high yield has more ink content than high yield cartridges. In this case, our super high yield cartridges in the CMYK range can all print up to 1,200 pages. Our high yield cartridges in the CMYK range, on the other hand, can print up to 550 pages. Note that this may vary depending on how often you print and your printer’s settings.

Is there an expiration date to these cartridges?

Carrot Ink’s cartridges have a long shelf life—18 to 24 months, to be exact. To make sure that your extra cartridges won’t dry up before you use them, we advise that you keep them in a cool, dry place and away from direct sunlight.
