How to Replace Cartridge(s)
- Open the front cover of your printer. To take the drum unit out, hold the printer’s body with one hand, while your other hand pulls the unit towards you. Lift it up at an angle to completely detach from the printer.
- Press down the lock lever on the side of the drum unit to release the old cartridge.
- Unpack your new cartridge. Gently roll the cartridge from side to side to distribute the ink inside. Pull off its protective cover.
- Place the new toner into the drum unit. If installed properly, the lock lever will lift automatically.
- Slide the blue tab on the drum unit left to right. Do this several times to clean the primary corona wire.
- Place the drum unit, together with the new cartridge, back to the printer. Close the front cover.
