How to Replace Cartridge(s)

  1. Open the front cover of your printer. If you just finished using the printer, the internal parts may be extremely hot, so be careful.
  2. Pull the drum unit out of the printer. To take the old cartridge out, push down the lock lever located on the right side of the drum unit.
  3. Unpack your new toner. Carefully rock it from side to side a few times to evenly distribute the ink inside. Then, remove its protective cover.
  4. Place the new cartridge into the drum unit, until you hear it clicking into place.
  5. Find the blue tab on the drum unit and slide it from left to right several times. This will clean the primary corona wire.
  6. Place the drum unit back into the printer. Close the front cover.
