How to Replace Cartridge(s)

Replace the empty ink cartridge on the Brother MFC-6890CDW by following these steps:

 

  1. Open the ink cartridge cover.
  2. Press down to unlock the release lever of the empty ink cartridge and pull it to take it out of the printer.
  3. Open the new ink cartridge bag and remove the new ink cartridge.
  4. Turn the green knob on the yellow protective cap clockwise until it clicks to release the vacuum seal. Then, remove the protective cap.
  5. Insert the new ink cartridge in the direction of the arrow on the label.
  6. Gently push the new cartridge until it clicks into place.
  7. Close the ink cartridge cover.
  8. Wait until the printer resets the ink level.
