How to Replace Cartridge(s)

  1. Before you replace the toner cartridge, make sure that the machine is turned on. After that, open the front cover of the printer.
  2. Remove the toner cartridge and the drum unit assembly from the printer.
  3. Press down on the green lock lever to remove the used toner cartridge out of the drum unit.
  4. Take the new toner cartridge out of its packaging and remove its protective cover.
  5. Install the new toner into the drum until it clicks into place and is firmly seated.
  6. Clean the corona wire inside the drum unit by gently sliding the green tab side to side a few times and then return the tab into its original position.
  7. Put the toner cartridge and drum unit assembly back into the printer and then close the front cover of the machine.
