How to Replace Cartridge(s)
- Turn your printer on and open its top cover until it locks into place.
- Pull out the drum unit assembly that contains the toner cartridge that needs replacing.
- To release the old toner cartridge, push down on the green lock lever.
- Take your new cartridge out of its bag. Hold it with both hands and gently shake it several times to distribute the ink inside.
- Pull off the protective cover.
- Place the new cartridge into the drum unit. You should hear it lock into place and see the green lock lever lifting automatically.
- To clean the corona wire on the drum unit, slide the green tab from left to right and right to left a few times.
- Repeat steps 2 to 7 for all cartridges that need replacing.
- Slide the drum unit assembly with the new toner into the machine. Make sure that it matches the corresponding slot in the printer.
- Close your printer's top cover.
