Inkjet Recycling
Good
for you AND good for the Environment
Want to save
money and feel good about yourself too? Inkjet recycling is an economical and
environmental solution. Every time you reuse an inkjet
cartridge, you are helping to limit the millions of cartridges discarded in
our landfills each year. If you use a Canon, HP or Apple printer, chances are your cartridge can be successfully
recycled through remanufacturing. To
understand the technology behind inkjet recycling, it helps to
know a little bit about the structure of the inkjet cartridge itself. On a majority
of ink cartridges, the print head and circuitry, which perform most of the
work of the ink jet printer, are contained on the cartridge (as opposed to
being permanently installed in the printer). Today, there can be anywhere from
48 to 320 nozzles or "jets" on the print head located at the bottom
on your cartridge. Each nozzle or jet is smaller in size than a human hair,
and each is connected electronically to a heater or resistor that heats and
cools the ink inside the cartridge. It
was once believed that heaters in the cartridge would only last for one use
and that any attempts at inkjet recycling would fail. However, it is now known that the heaters or resistors on most inkjet
cartridges will continue to fire until they either burn out completely or
weaken significantly. On the average, that happens from the third to fifth
time the cartridge is used. Remanufactured inkjet cartridges use the science
behind the ink cartridge to provide you with a product that provides good
quality printing and saves you money. You
can participate in inkjet recycling by purchasing remanufactured inkjet cartridges directly from Carrot Ink just as
you would name brand or compatible cartridges. These cartridges have been
professionally remanufactured to meet original specifications and performance
standards while offering significant savings. And, remember, these cartridges
are also backed by our 100% Satisfaction Guarantee. Ready
