| On December 23, 1999 I walked into my local Staples store. I was desperate. In the middle of printing my jewel case inserts for the MP3s I downloaded for gifts, my color ink cartridge died. I figured I was safe and could simply purchase a new one. To my horror, Staples no longer supported my Canon BJC-7004. I was livid. How could they sell me a printer less then 18 months ago and no longer carry the ink for it? I immediately requested the manager. He arrived promptly and informed me that they were sorry but I was out of luck. He then looked in this mysterious Staples bible. He located the infamous ink cartridge and with a smile quoted me a price. Surely he must be joking. It was not April Fools day but almost Christmas. $39.00 + $7.95 shipping and handling. I had just bought a spare Lexmark printer for $10.00 after rebate and could not justify over $45.00 for just a cartridge. I walked out of the store frustrated, dejected, and most of all, feeling betrayed my friendly office supply store. I immediately went home to sulk and wallow in my own pity. That's when I remembered that I had the spare printer. A simple solution at best, for I still had this $300.00 paperweight formally known as a printer. Having been a girl scout for many years I knew what I must do. I must persevere. I wasn't going to let Staples or any other retail store force me into buying a new printer just so I could easily get new cartridges. That was when I turned to a tried and true friend, Dogpile.com. I simply typed in "ink cartridge" and there you were, my savior. Next I typed in the brand of printer I owned and POOF...... there it was. My BCI-62 replacement cartridge. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the price. With two day shipping I was going to get 2 cartridges for the price of one from Staples. Always a cynic, I waited for FedEx to deliver this bargain to my door step. Come first thing Monday morning (more then 2 days but with Christmas I understood) there on my doorstep was a small package. I immediately opened it and shot right to my computer room. After comparing the necessary info on the new and old cartridges I placed the new one in the designated slot. It worked. Not only has your prompt and feasible service helped me, but you also managed to help my wallet. I will never again purchase an ink cartridge from a brick and mortar store. Nor will anyone in my family. Between my father, my sister and myself, we own 6 working printers. Your company just got our business for life and anyone else's I can tell about Carrot Ink. | I too had reservations about using off brand products in my Epson 440 printer, Carrot ink works fine and does"t seem to dry out fast if not using the printer for several days as was the case with Epson Ink.
