How to Replace Cartridge(s)

  1. Open your printer’s front cover. Then, lift the drum unit forward and pull it towards you.
  2. To remove the old toner cartridge, turn the lever forward until it stops. Note that you cannot remove the cartridge unless the shutter is closed, so be sure to turn the lever completely to the front.
  3. Pull out the old cartridge from the drum unit. Dispose of it properly.
  4. Take your new cartridge out of its packaging. Then, gently rock it from side to side to distribute the ink evenly.
  5. Install the new cartridge into the drum unit until it clicks into place.
  6. To clean the primary corona wire, slide the blue tab from right to left several times.
  7. Reinstall the drum unit back into the printer.
  8. Close your printer’s front cover.
