How to Replace Cartridge(s)

1. Turn off the printer.
2. Lift up the handle of the printer to completely open the top cover.
3. Pull out the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly. Then, press down the green-labeled lock lever to separate the toner cartridge from the drum.
4. Carefully slide the green tab from side to side for several times to clean the primary corona wire.
5. Remove the new toner cartridge from the box or bag. Lightly rock the cartridge from left to right and right to left for five or six times.
6. Remove the protective cover of the cartridge. Then, place the new toner cartridge into the drum unit.
7. Insert the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly into the printer.
8. Close the top cover of the printer.

Is the newly installed toner cartridge to blame for print quality issues?

Not necessarily. Did you check if the toner cartridge was seated properly on the drum unit before you inserted the entire assembly back into the printer? If not, then try removing the assembly again to see if the toner cartridge was properly installed on the drum unit. Reinstall the cartridge on the drum if necessary. Contact us if this did not solve the issue.
