How to Replace Cartridge(s)
- Press the front cover release button below the control panel to open the cover.
- Hold the printer with one hand and pull the drum unit out of the machine with your other hand.
- Place the drum unit on a large cloth or piece of paper on top of a hard, flat surface.
- Press the blue lock lever on the right to release the cartridge.
- Unpack the replacement cartridge.
- Hold it on both sides then shake it gently for five to six times to distribute the toner evenly.
- Remove the protective cover on the cartridge.
- Put the cartridge into the drum unit. The lock lever will lift automatically if you put it in properly.
- Slide the blue tab on the top right corner of the unit from side to side to clean the corona wire.
- Place the drum unit back into the printer. Close the printer’s front cover.
