How to Replace Cartridge(s)

  1. Open the front cover by pressing the release button.
  2. With one hand, hold your printer, and with the other, pull the drum unit out of the printer. You would have to lift it up at an angle to completely remove it.
  3. Locate and push down the blue lock lever on your drum unit to release the old cartridge.
  4. Remove the new cartridge out of its packaging. While holding it with both hands, gently rock it from side to side to distribute the ink. Then, pull off the protective cover.
  5. Place the new cartridge into the drum unit until you hear it lock into place. Find the blue tab on the drum unit and slide it from left to right several times. This will clean the primary corona wire.
  6. Place the drum unit with the new cartridge into the printer. Close the front cover.
